The StrongDM GUI is available for both macOS and Windows. Here is a quick overview of how to use it.
At the top of the window is the SDM status bar, which should read online (1). If it remains in the reconnecting state indefinitely, please contact your administrator.
The resources are listed by type, and each has a port number next to it (2), unless port overrides are disabled, in which case see the next section. To connect to a resource, click its name and a green lightning bolt appears, indicating that the port is now open. You can then proceed to use your existing database, SSH, or RDP client to connect.
Finally, you may see a resource picker link at the bottom of the window (3). If this bar is visible, it means that you may have more resources available than are currently visible. Click it to open the resource picker.
By default, every resource that is created is assigned a port override value. This is the port that you use to connect to the resource.
In this configuration, when you click to connect to a resource, it uses the default configured port for that resource type. If you connect to another resource of the same type, the first resource is then disconnected.
In this window you can configure the resources and servers visible in the main window. Click on each resource to toggle its visibility: green is visible, blue is hidden.
