Darren Harlow with StrongDM, was asked to do a quick video showing AWS console access using just-in-time for the authentication method to be able to get to the console.
So we'll start out, I'm logged into the StrongDM control plane.
I do not have access to the AWS console.
You can also see it here in the desktop app as well.
It's not listed there.
We're gonna go over to Teams and go to teams, and we're going to request access from our catalog.
It is under SecOps. We'll do a search here.
It is AWS Prod Console. Hit continue.
This is for demo purposes, and we'll submit the request and we'll say that I've been given the access.
We could also put an MFA in here, but in this, we just wanted to show it very quickly.
Now you will see that we have the access and we're in.
We have now, we are now into the AWS console that we did not have access to before.
