I think there's a lot of disillusionment about Zero Trust.
I had the good fortune to work with John Kinder Bogg side by side.
He's the guy who coined Zero Trust and announced the framework.
When he was at Forrester a number of years ago, he always had said to me, it's not a product, it's a set of principles.
Right? And I think that's really important and stuck with me.
People will go quickly and say, it's zero Trust PAM, and you should buy it 'cause I said that.
And that's not true. You need to peel back the layers and look under the covers and understand what capabilities it's giving you and following principles of Zero Trust, how it's gonna help you on your journey to eliminate artificial trust boundaries.
I think that's what's really differentiated about what we did.
We went, we built along the principles and capabilities first, and then we started calling it what customers were calling it, which is Zero Trust PAM, right?
And it wasn't like we led with branding and decided where it's gonna sell the same product.
It was done purposely that way.
Cause the disillusionment people feel is I've got an identity provider, maybe I've got a sassy to help my enterprise users based on who they are.
Get to my enterprise applications. Where do I go now?
What's my next step in my zero trust journey?
And there's been no clear roadmap and there's been no clear articulate way for them to go.
And we kind of planted that flag in the hill to tell people… Hey, don't forget about your privileged users and your privileged actions.
Those need to be controlled by zero trust principles also, and led that charge for a number of customers.
And some are ready to move and some aren't quite there yet.
But knowing that there's a next step on that roadmap for them and that strong DM has defined it and is leading the way, has given a lot of customers comfort because sometimes it's lonely and you feel lost when you go on this journey and hit a crossroad and you're not sure which path.
