Connect S3 & Greenplum

Integrating S3 into a Greenplum Workflow

Greenplum is a PostgreSQL-based database server designed to handle large-scale data warehouses and descriptive analytics workloads. strongDM collects activity logs from Greenplum and saves them to Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3)—an AWS file storage service, providing you with useful insights about user activity.

S3 (or Amazon Simple Storage Service), is a scalable cloud storage infrastructure that allows users to store and retrieve data through a web services interface. strongDM makes S3 easy to use by giving users 1-click access the infrastructure without the need for passwords, SSH keys, or IP addresses. Greenplum is an MPP (massively parallel processing) database server based on PostgreSQL. It is used to manage large-scale data warehouses and descriptive analytics workloads. strongDM supports all the popular PostgreSQL GUI tools such as pgAdmin and DBeaver. Any client that can connect to Greenplum will work with strongDM.
